How Private Lending Has Evolved
DESCRIPTION
Before the National Private Lenders Association (NPLA), there were no trade associations advocating on behalf of the private lending industry in the real estate investment financing space.
Sure, some groups claimed to be associations, but they were doing nothing from a legislative standpoint, a code of ethics standpoint, or a best practices standpoint.
That all changed about four years ago.
Leonard Rosen, CEO of Pitbull Conference and Executive Director of the NPLA, joins the show to share how the NPLA came to be and how the industry has changed and will continue to change in the future.
In this episode, we discuss:
- How private lending has evolved over the years
- The origins of the NPLA
- Creating a model for best practices and ethics in the industry
